TradeUps is the sole owner of information collected on this site to purchase products from TradeUps.com. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to any outside parties, except as outlined in this policy. We collect information from our customers to process orders and better serve you with pertinent information, such as order confirmations and order status updates. Information collected includes your name, shipping address, telephone number, and information about the item you wish to trade in.
We do not make our customer information available to any outside organization. If you supply us with your postal address on-line you will only receive the information for which you provided us your address.
Registration
No registration is required to use TradeUps.com. Information is only collected if you trade in an item.
Trade Ins
If you make a trade with us, we request certain personally identifiable information from you on our check out form. You must provide contact information such as name, email, shipping address and telephone number.
We use this information to provide you money for your trade in. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
Sharing
We employ third party service providers to perform functions on our behalf. These functions may include order processing, marketing assistance, postal and e-mail delivery, customer service, data analysis, and accounting. The third parties we contract for these purposes have limited access to your personal information and may not use it for other purposes.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.
Tell-A-Friend
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend’s name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. TradeUps stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.
